For decades, six corporations—Dayton Inspiration Gold, Hayden Hill, Hunter Creek, Inspiration Lead, King of Pine, and Silverore—were managed and controlled by Burton Warner Onstine. These companies were publicly traded on the former Spokane Stock Exchange and had hundreds of shareholders. Over time, corporate governance gradually came to a halt. Shareholder meetings were no longer held, regulatory filings ceased, and many shareholders received little or no information regarding the companies, their operations, or their remaining assets. In 2018, the Oregon Circuit Court determined that Mr. Onstine was incapacitated and appointed a professional fiduciary to manage his affairs. Following Mr. Onstine's death, the corporations were left without active management, employees, or a functioning board of directors. Although the companies no longer conducted active business operations, they continued to own valuable assets, including investment accounts, patented and unpatented mining claims, and parcels of real property. To protect those assets and provide an orderly resolution for the corporations and their shareholders, the District Court of the First Judicial District of the State of Idaho, Shoshone County, appointed a Receiver in November 2022 to take control of the companies, preserve and liquidate their remaining assets, satisfy outstanding obligations, dissolve the corporations, and distribute the remaining proceeds to shareholders who could be identified and located. Because many shareholder records were decades old, incomplete, or missing, this website has been created to assist in locating shareholders, provide updates regarding the receivership, and preserve the public record of these proceedings.
Remaining Mining Assets
Resolve Financial Group, Inc., has been appointed as Receiver and instructed by the court to liquidate the assets of six mining companies previously controlled by Burton Onstine.
Luke O’Dowd with the law firm Lyons O’Dowd, prepared a portfolio of mining claims and several of these claims were sold at the end of 2025 through a competitive bid process. A few assets remain and the Receiver is in the process of liquidating these.
